Last week Annie and I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the materials and machines at our new manufacturing facility in California. While I’ve been working with Annie for almost a year and a half now, this was my first experience seeing the process in person and it was thrilling. I learned how the laser-cutting machines work to cut the metal, and was introduced to waterjet cutting as well. It’s exhilarating to watch our material and manufacturing resources expand along with our business.
We are now able to waterjet thicker material and cut larger sheets of metal without solid borders which is a dream come true from a design perspective. This breakthrough will allow us to make our products, such as privacy screens and decorative wall panels, more elegant and seamless.
